Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We’re looking for dedicated, diverse, and engaged individuals to join the SELPA Community Advisory Committee. This committee plays a vital role in shaping programs, policies, and initiatives that reflect the needs and voices of the community. As a member, you agree to:

¿Te apasiona marcar la diferencia en tu comunidad? Buscamos personas dedicadas, diversas y comprometidas para unirse al Comité Asesor Comunitario de SELPA. Este comité desempeña un papel fundamental en la creación de programas, políticas e iniciativas que reflejen las necesidades y las voces de la comunidad. Como miembro, te comprometes a:

  • Advise on policies regarding development of the Local Plan (Asesorar sobre políticas relativas al desarrollo del Plan Local)
  • Offer comments to be reviewed and considered by SELPA (Ofrecer comentarios para que SELPA los revise y considere)
  • Cooperatively update the Local Plan (Actualizar cooperativamente el Plan Local)
  • Recommend annual priorities for SELPA to address (Recomendar prioridades anuales para que SELPA las aborde)
  • Assist the parent education and recruitment for help to implement the plan (Ayudar en la educación y el reclutamiento de padres para ayudar a implementar el plan.)

  • Complete application (Completar Aplicación)
  • Screening by Special Services for minimum qualifications (Evaluación por parte de Servicios Especiales para determinar las cualificaciones mínimas)
  • Panel Review (Revisión del Panel)
  • Recommendation to/appointment by the Governing Board (Recomendación del Consejo de Administración)
